Gary, it’s Twelve South who told me it peels away without residue. I’m only unwilling to peel it off as I like my SurfacePad where it is – on my MacBook Pro! If you’d like to send me another SurfacePad, I’ll happily pull this one off for you

You say you’re “reliably informed it will peel away without leaving any horrid residue,” but you were unwilling to do this yourself. Can you point us to someone who has done this? The reliable source of information who told you, perhaps?

I hadn’t known that an unembossed version was available until today! When I get paid, I will go to Twelve South’s site to buy the BassJump, BookBook and a SurfacePad. Before my MBPro arrived, I had intended to get a BookArc. But I’ve found that I can use dual monitors, so I’m leaving the MBP open and using its screen in addition to a 26″.
