Be a technical reviewer for the 2nd edition of ‘Responsive web design with HTML5 and CSS3’
Same title, same subject. Different book
For some months I’ve been beavering away on a second edition of my book, ‘Responsive web design with HTML5 and CSS3’ and it’s coming along nicely. I’m now at a stage where I need the input of some expert technical reviewers to look over the chapters, point out my errors, suggest changes etc. I’m hoping you might be one of them?
If you’ve done some technical writing or you write regularly on blogs that will be a huge bonus. The job involves reading each chapter and sending feedback/questions that I can then put right. It will require your input over the next 3 months or so (in terms of time, it will take you as long as it takes you to read a chapter and write any feedback).
However, I’m asking a lot from you and I have very little to offer in return (I know, compelling isn’t it): there is no fee for Technical Reviewers. That’s important to know up front (bless the fine folks who have done it for me on my previous titles).
What you do get is a section at the beginning of the finished book to talk about yourself and include links to your own site/work, you get to read (and help improve) the book for free as I write it and you also get a hard copy of the book itself once published.
If you fancy helping out, send me a mail at contact @ this domain and hopefully we’ll be a good fit.
So Packt publishing doesn’t pay technical reviewers? I worked with a few publishers as author and as reviewer and got paid in both cases. Time to find a new publisher. This is not professional.
